Say Cheese! |
I just wish Smith would smile. 1998's annual bachelor bash was on a beautiful stretch of the Appalachian Trail on the Tennessee North Carolina border. Enjoy these beautiful picutres. See if you can count the number of times the name "Peeler" appears in the different pictures (it's on bumper stickers, T-Shirts, and hats.) This year the Dufus Award went to me [Andy] for forgetting that I had packed two cans of Beenie Weenies and claiming I had none when the hungry requested them. I also mistakenly thought the weekend was a week earlier, but realized my mistake before making the trip on my own. Special thanks to Chad Powell for taking the pictures and helping to scan them in. Special thanks to Jeff and Annemarie Dugan for graciously letting us stay at their beautiful home. And then letting us return in our putrid condition to clean up. Special thanks to the cool guys who went and annually help make the adventure so fun. Jeff Mathis: For falling on the trail, Chad Powell: For instructing us in the finer points of making in the woods, Monty Brown: For being the first to make in the woods, Smith Peeler: For being his uncle's best advertiser, Steve Humphrey: For not choosing to have us meet at McDonald's, Andy Jarrell: Needs no explaination [Dufus], Gary Sweezy: Missed, but there in spirit, Kevin Moore: For mysteriously managing to appear in these photos, though never actually going.
